OlderJoe Jonas: I've Never Cheated on a Girlfriend
After Taylor Swift announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her ex, Joe Jonas, broke up with her over a 27-second phone call, Joe is now speaking out.
The 19-year-old musician posted an entry in his MySpace today. He said, “I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me. For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear. There were later attempts at communication that had no response.”
OK! magazine reported yesterday that Taylor confirmed that Joe was with actress Camilla Belle before they had broken up. But now her quote has changed on the magazine’s website. FISHY!

I have been waiting for this! The Jonas Brothers are really true gentlemen that they did not start telling the whole story like Taylor and acting the “victim”! But they cared enough for their fans to put out their truth and their part of the story. I think Joe truly means it from the bottom of his heart that he did not cheat.
I think both of them were heartbroken so there must have been a mis communication. I still am a big fan of Taylor AND Joe.

i love taylor and i love joe. but something seems fishy. like #3 said, there are 2 sides to every story. i don’t know if it that i don’t think i believe it, or i don’t WANT to believe it. i wanna hear what joe says before i jump to any conclusions. lol

I never believe Taylors aligations of Joe cheating but I am glad that Joe is speaking out and defending himself. I’ll always love the Jonas Brothers!

I dont blame Joe one bit with this news I personally think that when u break up with someone is hard trust me everyone on here proberly has experience, it’s the way u handle that makes it more of a problem than it should be, I dont think for one second Taylor handed it well especially that thier in the public eye. Us normal ppl can get away with this but over the few days I was becoming sick of her hatin on Joe and no im not a hardcore JoBros lover but when ur name is constantly being dragged throught the mud it makes sense for him to give us his point of view.
OKay, so this is really the second relationship of theirs that has gone public, and both times, it makes them look like jerks……….I’m wondering is they really are gentlemen…. Joe, don’t be pissed because Taylor called you out, you got caught! But if you aren’t allowed out with anyone, you could date numerous people at one time. There is probably a third side to this story though; the truth. He isn’t a complete angel like he is trying to potray. Disney’s just pissed off and yelled at him to fix it.
i dont blame him. that is awful that people would say that about him! he is awesome, kind, and not a person to be cheating on a girlfriend, or breaking up like that. he called to discuss and she must not have wanted to hear it so hung up and spread the news before he even had a chance. now that he is fighting back i am so proud!

OK magazine ISNT A RELIABLE SOURCE…..
duh, their “SOURCES” are people who make **** up. taylor never said joseph cheated on her. the damn tabloids need to stay out of everyone’s lives
Alright but still, you don’t even call to discuss feelings. If its that important to you, then you take the time to see the person. Regardless of who you are or what you say you said you did, you don’t call someone when it deals with things like that.
And you gain much respect taking the time to see the person, especially when you (joe) are as busy as you are. Still don’t agree with the call.
woww…i am a HUGE fan of both taylor and joe….but i still think i’m gonna have to side with taylor on this one…even though joe does make a point, i think i’m supporting taylor…and i think she had a right to talk about their relationship..they asked, she answered..there’s no problem with that..

quit getting your teenie panties in a bunch and freaking out. he’s addressing the rumors, because that’s all they are–rumors THAT ARENT TRUE. he just doesnt want people to lose respect for him and his brothers because of something so ridiculously false. that’s why he is speaking out
good for him, I am so sick of Taylor’s ‘poor me’ attitude, she is getting on my nerves, seriously get over it, everyone gets dumped, she already got her song out of it, so move on.

Taylor didn’t change her words, the article did. So the people who wrote the article was probably lying, not her. They probably twisted her words around, she didn’t go on and edit it herself. And now there are two sides of the stories. No one really knows the truth but them.
Finally!!! Joe, I’ve been waiting for your side! and I knew it would be professionally and eloquently said! Thanks for setting things straight. Everything seems alot more clear now! :D
