OlderJennette McCurdy: Album In The Works!
iCarly sidekick Jennette McCurdy crams in homework, rehearses for her Nick show and now has a music career on the horizon.
The 16-year-old actress recently sat down with PJ Star newspaper to talk about iCarly, balancing schoolwork, and her future in show business.
Jennette shared this about her music: “I’m actually working on my first CD. I can’t even describe it, it’s so cool. I’m working with really great songwriters, and being able to get in a studio and sing and help write some of the songs has been an awesome experience. I’m actually learning to play the guitar and the drums. I played the piano in the past, for six years before. I’m really trying to delve in, full force. I’m hoping to release a single in the very early part of ’09.”

She’s a great actress but singing wise I dont think she’ll be that good just like selena gomez
i have nothing against this girl personally. she seemed like a good actress the one time i saw icarly. However, i have a problem with the fact that there is no such thing as an actress or a singer or fashion designer what have you anymore. at least theyre hard to find. there are just “celebrities”. It makes me so annoyed whenever i hear about some actress getting an album, or a singer going to star in a movie. And then they all need their own clothing line, and their own perfume….Its RIDICULOUS. it makes them lose all credibility at their specialty (in this girls case: acting) and just become morphed into the cheesy celebrity category. It just pisses me off because some people work their whole lives to be the best actor, singer, or designer that they can, and then these celebrities get all the jobs in spite of (and BECAUSE) they’re already famous. To be honest, it makes me sick. Give it a rest. When you celebs do that, you may get more press and money, but you get less respect.

I agree #9 some people have so much talent and are dedicated to what they do and these celebs just get things handed to them It makes me sick too if you wanna be an actress be an actress but don’t take on another job millions kill to have or actually have an interest in
What’s wrong with her wanting to put out in album? And what’s wrong that stars want to diversify and do more than one thing? I think it’s cool because that’d be lame to do the same thing for the rest your life. So they want to experience new things… I say good for them. And I think Jennette’s the coolest person on iCarly, so I’m sure her CD will be good too!
