Disney darling Madison Pettis is best known for her role as America’s angel, Sophie Martinez, in Cory in the House. She also starred alongside The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) in last year’s The Game Plan.

The 10-year-old actress recently sat down with JustJaredJr.com to talk about her holiday plans, her dance background and her upcoming holiday special, Letters to Santa: A Muppet Christmas.

JJJ: You’re starring in Letters to Santa: A Muppets Christmas that premieres on the 17th. How was the filming special?

MP: We filmed that in New York and I was so honored that I was in a Muppet movie. I got to sing a song with all of the Muppets – it was the coolest thing ever.

JJJ: Are you sad that Cory in the House is over?

MP: I do miss everyone on Cory in the House. We had a lot of fun on the show and we still keep in touch though, which is good.

JJJ: Do you have any funny stories from the series?

MP: We have a lot of bloopers on the set. I always get the hiccups a lot so whenever we’re doing a scene we’ll have to start over because I’ll just hiccup through the whole thing.

JJJ: What are you doing for the Holidays?

MP: I’m going back to Texas, that’s where I’m from. I’m going to see all my friends and my family.

JJJ: Do you have any Christmas traditions?

MP: I always open one present on Christmas Eve which is one of my favorite traditions. We [my family] always go to my grandma’s house, bake sugar cookies for Santa and we have ping-pong tournaments. We also do karaoke as well!

JJJ: You took 10 different dance classes a week once upon a time. What ever were you thinking? What types of dance were they?

MP: Yeah, I took ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, flamenco and clogging. It is a lot. I love to dance and eve before I was acting, I was dancing when I was four years old. I still love to dance. It’s my favorite hobby besides acting.

JJJ: Do you have any siblings? What are their names?

MP: I have an older half-brother, named Steven. He just recently joined the army eight months ago. He just got deployed last week. He won’t miss the holidays with me or anything, he has the holidays off.
