Victoria Justice Interview -- JJJ Exclusive!

Best known for her role as Lola on Zoey 101, Victoria Justice is now singing and dancing her way into becoming a household name.

The 15-year-old actress sat down with JustJaredJr.com to talk about her new movie-musical, Spectacular! weird habits and her new puppy, Sophie.

JJJ: Do you have a favorite breakfast food?

VJ: I really don’t like breakfast, I have dinner for breakfast. Like, chicken parmesean and steak.

JJJ: Are familiar with blogs, and which ones do you normally check?

VJ: Well, Just Jared Jr., obviously! I think that’s my favorite out of all of them because everything is really positive, and I’m really thankful for that because there are other blogs…that I won’t name…that are harsh and just purposely trying to put people down. Everyone has bad hair days, everyone makes mistakes – it’s just going to happen. But you don’t have to criticize people so harshly and just get on their case all the time. So I really appreciate that Just Jared Jr., and even Just Jared, are really kind and just give the facts. I think that’s really cool.

JJJ: How do you keep in touch with your friends? Do you have Facebook or Myspace?

VJ: I don’t Facebook! All my friends are telling me that I have to get one but when I’m over their shoulder and they’re on their Facebook, it’ll say “Jessica just poked Audrey!” and I’m like, what is this poking thing? I don’t understand that – that’s so weird to me! And the whole profile thing is just so confusing. MySpace is much easier for me. I kind of need structure because otherwise I’ll get kind of frantic. Who knows though, maybe one day I’ll make one.

JJJ: The Spectacular! soundtrack is out now – what was the process of recording like?

VJ: It was really fun. This is the first time that people are going to hear me sing officially. There was a YouTube video where I covered “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton, which I did just for fun with my singing coach. Somehow that got leaked online, and I guess people liked it. But this is the first time that my voice will be on any soundtrack and people are actually going to hear me sing in the studio. It’s really cool and I can’t wait for people to hear it! The songs are really catchy and you can dance around to them. When we were filming, that’s all me, Simon [Curtis], Avan [Jogia] and Andrea [Lewis], would listen to! We would dance around to the songs all the time and practice the moves.

JJJ: How long does it take to record one song?

VJ: I completed the songs pretty quickly. I sang three songs that were all duets with Simon, and I finished them in 2 days. I practiced them a long time before, because I wanted to be prepared. So for the 2 weeks before that, I was rehearsing every single day, like 10 times a day. It’s a good idea [to memorize the lyrics] because you’re more prepared. I definitely did, but I don’t think everyone does.

JJJ: Would you ever perform the songs live?

VJ: I would love to! I don’t know if I’ll ever get the opportunity to, but I think it would be so cool to do that at the Kid’s Choice Awards or a morning show…I would love to do that!

JJJ: Do you have any hidden or weird talents people don’t know about?

VJ: I can do this thing called the “eyebrow wave,” where I can move my eyebrows in a…wave-ular motion, whatever you call it. I feel like all the teen magazines have sucked me dry of my cool talents. Oh, I can do a three-leaf clover with my tongue, I look really weird doing that. (Stay tuned for the video!)
