Jason Dolley and Mitchel Musso play best buds in the new Disney Channel Original Movie, Hatching Pete.

In the flick, Pete (Dolley) is struggling to be noticed when his best friend Poole (Musso) needs a break as the school mascot. He convinces Pete to stand in for him at a couple of the basketball games. But once Pete dons the chicken suit, his shyness fades and a whole new outgoing character filled with personality appears that not only captivates the school, but the whole town! While Poole enjoys all of the benefits of Pete’s dynamic performances, including a cheerleader girlfriend, Pete must decide if he wants the world to know that he’s the one in the chicken suit.

Sonny with a Chance‘s Tiffany Thornton also stars. Hatching Pete premieres on Disney Channel in April.
