Jesse McCartney caught up with Seventeen mag on Thursday night (February 26) just before his concert in New York City.

The 21-year-old performer dished to the mag about his tour, his role on Greek and the upcoming re-release of Departure. Check it:

On the new album, Departure: Recharged: I think the biggest thing is that we’ve put four new records on the album that people have not heard yet, three of which I just wrote about a month ago. And it’s just a chance for the fans who have already been listening to this album for a year now to give them some new material. they’ll be getting 17 tracks on the album, and it’s a way to freshen the record a little bit, relaunching it, and there’s new artwork. We’re putting a remix of ‘How Do You Sleep?’ with Ludacris, and that isn’t on the original. So, yeah, it’s coming out April 7.”

On his role as Andy on Greek: I play a high school football recruit who’s about to experience his first year at college, in the fraternity life. Need I say anymore? There’s a lot of debauchery. It’s a really funny show, and the actors are amazing — Scott Michael Foster (Cappie) has become a good friend of mine now. He called me yesterday and was like “I’m comin’ to your show!’”

On a typical day on tour: “I get up, I go to a radio station, depending on whatever market I’m in. I sat in and played an acoustic show for some radio winners and had an interview. We met with a bunch of publications today, and Seventeen, of course! We come back and usually do sound check, which is really a breeze. We just play through a few songs and make sure everything is working and it’s audible. We’ll usually do a meet-and-greet every night, and showtime is usually about 9 or 9:30.”
