OlderMiley Cyrus: "I Can't Be Hannah Montana Forever"
Miley Cyrus looks back over her shoulder on the April cover of Billboard magazine.
The 16-year-old actress dished to the mag about her new book, finding time to hang with her best friends, and her upcoming flick, Hannah Montana: The Movie. Check it:
On her new book, “Miles To Go”: “It’s just an honor for people to be able to relate to me and my music—and not so much the character anymore. I can’t be Hannah Montana forever. I have to have something after this. I can’t do this when I’m 30.”
On the end of her TV series, Hannah Montana: “This movie was never meant to be the end of Hannah Montana. The thing is, a lot of people put where the show’s future lays in my hands—and it’s not up to me. It’s up to Disney and whether they want more episodes, and we hope that they do.”
On spending time with her best friends: “This is, like, the first time I’ve seen all my friends in seven months. It’s hard, man. With all the stuff that goes on with this business, I only want to do something if I absolutely love it.”

im really liking miley a lately, but i’d love her to have shorter extensions and a nice chocolate brown colour, with a really full blunt fringe…just an idea

she’s awesome. she’s great as hannah montana, but i definiately would like to see her in another stuff. as she said, she cant be hannah montana forever. they just cant do that franchise forever.

when nobody knew who is miley cyrus ..
and it just seems like yesterday ..
it’s really overwhelming to see how that “unknown” girl became a huge superstar in a couple of years ..
and how her life has changed 180Ù’ !!

but the movie seems cool ..
and i think it will be worth watching it ..

Lauren, I’m only a casual Miley fan, but I bought her book and it is surprisingly good. It’s cute and has a lot of insight for someone so young. I definitely recommend it.

Yes it is a good book to read, but you should shop around and see if you can get a good deal. The original asking price of 24.95 was a bit pricey for a book with 12 point type. You can literally read this book in one night. I did it over two nights and found it amusing and sad. Perhaps sad is the wrong word to be used here. lets use emotional.
And in general…….
I do think this is the last Hannah Montana season. I don’t have an exact count -and I can be wrong here- but I think there are still something like 21 or 22 un-aired episodes for this season. Disney will stretch those 22 odd episodes out across the rest of the 2009 calendar year in order to cover the Halloween/Xmas merchandise season. Plus, if they were really serious about a season 4, they would basically have to make a decision now. They can’t leave the entire cast and crew hanging around. The cast -especially Miley- are going to want to make commitments to do other things if there is no season 4 decision in place. Only makes common sense.
billy, i have a feeling they’re gonna have an abbreviated 4th season. but they will probably have one. i base this on the fact that you need 100 episodes to go into syndication and after season 3 is completed they’ll have less than 20 episodes to go (around 15, if they count the dvd-only episodes). disney makes sooooo much money off of hm, i’m sure they want a syndication run. that’s so raven is the only show they’ve pushed into big-time syndication thus far, but we’ll see.
oh and regardless, i’m sure miley will continue to move forward with her career, with or without hannah. :)
i like miley and her shows.
i’m sure she’ll go far with her music and career! everybody adores her, so she’ll always have fans! go miley!

Wow. Great interview. I totally agree- she can’t be hm forever. That’s just a fact. Although, she was born to be hannah.. It fits her so well and she’s done really well through it all. She’s great.

With 84 episodes, plus: HMTM, BOBW tour film, and a viariety of videos, extended footage of the show and tour. I would think Disney has enough for HM to go into syndication. I’m sure it will. It’s been a huge $$ maker for them. I dont think we’ll see a 4th season. The’ve stretch 3 seasons out over 4 years.
I def. could see Miley & Emily doing a comedy something together in the future. I know Miley already has 2 films confirmed (J. Sparks, & More adv. in Babysitting, w/ Raven). The others have already started doing other Disney film & Music projects.

i personally really enjoyed her book. it was funny and touching, and a true gift 2 her fans. it let u in on her life as miley cyrus and u learn things that u never would have known if u hadnt read her book. i reccomend it =)

i loooove miley cyrus. i odnt want 2 see hannah montan (the music, character, show, or franchise come to an end) but i know it has to. disney has milked hannah montana 4 almost all its worth. they hav re-invented her music and stlye tho, so she should last a little longer thn she would hav otherwise. miley is supremely talented tho, and i wish her the best of luck in whatever she does. i hope she keeps acting and making music and stays out of trouble.
