Miley Cyrus channels her inner hippie on the May 2009 cover of Teen Vogue magazine.
The 16-year-old actress/singer opened up to the mag about choosing not to collaborate with her friends, her favorite people in show biz and Robert Pattinson. Check it:
On the actors she swoons over: “You’ve seen him [Gerard Butler] in P.S. I Love You, right? My favorite. I bawled my eyes out. She [Scarlett Johansson] is, honestly, the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I went to He’s Just Not That into You with Justin [Gaston], and I was covering his eyes.”
On not crushing on Robert Pattinson: “I’m not a huge Rob Pattinson fan. Girls aren’t really in love with Rob; they’re in love with Edward.”
On not working with good friends Taylor Swift or Demi Lovato: “Demi and I are the most alike; I’m anti-drama. I like to keep my friendship separate, otherwise, competition starts.”
On believing in love at first sight: “I believe in love at first sight. It just hasn’t happened to me. I walked right by him [Justin, the first time she saw him]. Love doesn’t come from attraction, but from somewhere deeper. [Justin] is my best friend.”

maybe people aren’t IN LOVE with him she’s right about that

It’s one thing for her to voice her opinion on Rob Pattinson, but it’s another for her to speak on behalf of all girls. I personally dig Rob a lot and it doesn’t have a lot to do with the fact that he plays Edward. I think he’s attractive, talented, funny. I like him a lot. Miley should speak for herself.

Wow, she actually managed to say some fairly perceptive things. I completely agree about Robert Pattinson. I think he can be handsome, but girls fawn over him because of Twilight. The guy was in a HUGE Harry Potter movie and few people gave a damn, but now he’s suddenly a god or something.
And what she said about Justin & love at first sight was smart. Love is deeper than just physical attraction. I like that she admitted just walking right past him like nothing the first time. Atleast she’s honest.
She’s actually not making me gag lately, which is nice. I couldn’t stand her last year. lol.

She says she believes in love at first sight. Then she goes on to say love doesn’t come from attraction, but rather somewhere deep. How can you love someone at first sight, that would be kind of shallow. In order for love to be from somewhere deep, you need to take the time to get to know the person. love is not possible at first sight, if she says it should be from a deep place.
Maybe “girls” are in love with Edward.

umm! miley is very smart on the edward talk. i think is true girl like edward because he represent prince charming basically! like he protects the girl of any harm and only has eyes for her! is true what miley said girls like his character in the movie. It is very hard to find guys who would put a girls reputation first beyong their own, a guy who would protect her beyond his own needs.there are a very few guys that will put their life at risk for a girl or their reputation for that matter for the girl they love, i bet miley has not found prince charming just yet .she hasnt found someone who would really protect her for all that is harmful to her and put themselves on the spot for her. so yeah! i agreed! girl’s a are in love with the edward character not with rob in real life because nobody knows rob in real life!
On justin it was very wise she doesnt go for look only but who they are as a person. i liked that she made that clear looks fade eventually but a person personalities always is the important factor that made her seem a lot wiser beyond her years!
