The duo chatted about their upcoming DCOM Hatching Pete, chicken suits and mascots. Check it:
Jason on his school not having a mascot: “I wish my school had a mascot. We were a private Christian school. We had a football team and that was about it. I kind of wish I could’ve been the mascot though. After being in the chicken suit, it’s fun! I think it’d be fun to do that every Friday night.”
Mitchel added, “It depends on what kind of mascot. If I’m like some crazy lion, maybe, but that chicken suit…probably not. Oh, if I dressed up like Superman and we were the Supermans, I’d be Superman everyday. Even if I wasn’t the mascot, I’d come in as Superman. Let’s Go Team! I’d be all about that.”
Jason on how he reacted when he found out they were costarring together: “I was excited. When you do a film, there’s always a little bit of time before you make really good friends with somebody, but there really wasn’t anything. We’ve known each other from the Disney Channel Games. We knew each other before we started, so we were already friends which is cool.”
Mitchel chimed in, “We had met before we did this — a long time ago. We met years ago while working on another TV show. It all came down to the finalists and we met there. We knew each other for a long long time then we both got on Disney and then got stuck in a movie together. It was awesome.”
Hatching Pete premieres THIS Friday, April 24 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
