A smiley Dakota Fanning sends a tiny wave to the paparazzi’s way as she arrives at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (May 4).
The 15-year-old actress, accompanied by mom Joy, is reportedly heading off to Italy to start filming New Moon.
Dakota has been cast as Jane, a high ranking guard in the Italian “royal family” named the Volturi who maintain a permanent residence in Volterra, located in Tuscany which is a region of Italy. She was 14 when Aro (Michael Sheen) changed her and her brother Alec (played by Cameron Bright) – saving them from being burnt at the stake for their “witch-like” abilities.

I think she might be going to Vancouver first, because thats where Michael Sheen and Jamie Campbell Brown or whatever his last is are at right now. They are getting fitted for their wardrobes and stuff.

Love her, she is so pretty. I am not a big fan of ashley greene though, she is so up herself i wish she would stop having to be seen everywhere.
I think they’re shooting a lot of the indoor scenes in Vancouver to cut down on costs, and then only exterior ones in Italy. :-)

I like Dakota Fanning and I guess she is okay to play Jane. But I thought they were filming in Vancouver,Canada. And I also didn’t know Volterra was located in Tuscany either. Man I don’t know much about this and I am a huge Twilight fan.
