OlderJennette McCurdy Scampers for Cancer
Jennette McCurdy keeps close to mom Debra as they arrive at the 16th annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women held at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Saturday morning (May 9).
The 16-year-old iCarly cutie recently chatted with JJJ about the disease. She said, “Anything I can do to help cancer — my mom had cancer. Yea, it’s a terrible thing, so we have to get rid of it.”
Jennette also shared her admiration for Debra, saying, “Her strength just amazes me everyday of my life. She is my idol and inspiration. I’m just so glad that she’s here with us, because the doctors told her that she wasn’t going to make it, that she wouldn’t make it through the night. So having her be here 14 years later — after having doctors, professionals, told her that she wasn’t going to make it — is an inspiration for everybody. It shows you that you can pull through; just be strong.”

@TheRealalyssacarson: I’m glad you were healed of cancer. you know, ever since her friend Cody died and after hearing alot of stuff about him, he makes me want to go across North America and collect money for cancer even more (it’s been one of my ambitions to be honest)
Jennette is a true hero to her mom, helping her fight cancer.
