Meaghan Martin and Nicholas Braun star in the series based on the 1999 film starring Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger.
Kat (Lindsey Shaw) and Bianca (Martin), are two very different people, which is evident as they start at their new high school with very contradictory goals. Kat is a strong-willed, in-your-face feminist looking to save the world and get out of high school as fast as she can. Bianca is a social butterfly carefully maneuvering the minefield of high school popularity. Can each sister find happiness after getting off to a very rocky start at new school Padua High?

Wow, Meaghan actually did a smart move by not doing a stupid Disney Channel show but rather a teen comedy on abcfamily, even Disney owns abcfamily lol.

&& the girl that plays Kat…. is a little weird.

I’m kinda disappointed. It doesn’t look that good from the clip. Maybe it’s an early episode, but the tall kid sounds like he’s trying too hard to act geeky, while Meaghan doesn’t really do enough for me to really say anything.
Oh, and that tall guy is too tall IMO. Look how much bigger he is than all the girls. It just looked awkward when he was paired with Meaghan. They don’t match.

the movie is way better. i feel for the younger generation because all their tv shows and movies are either really bad, ripoffs, or both!!

I loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cameron in the original. This other guy doesn’t quite cut it for me.
And that motorcycle guy doesn’t capture Patrick (heath ledger’s character) at all…
um.. i like the movie better!

This was one of my favorite movies EVER but I think they are doing an awesome job keeping the main things – come on, they even are using the same theme song! I’m really excited about this and def adding it to my summer shows.
No I will not watch the show, I have been a huge fan of the movie and some movies shouldn’t be made into TV shows and this is on of them.
