OlderSelena Gomez: Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!
Selena Gomez gets playful on the set of a new photo shoot in Vancouver earlier this month.
The 16-year-old Princess Protection Program actress recently sat down with WWD and chatted all about one of her guilty pleasures: shoes! Check out what she had to say:
On where she loves to shop: “I like to mix it up when I shop. I like going to Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and Target. I also love checking out thrift stores and vintage stores in Los Angeles. And my mom and I like to go to DSW to find really cute bargain shoes.”
On how she organizes her own closet: “I like to organize styles from casual to dressy. So I have all my flats and sneakers first, then wedges. The wedges merge into heels and the heels into half boots and then all my tall boots are on the bottom shelf of my closet.”
On her favorite on-set Wizards look: “I’d love to ask [the wardrobe department] if I could borrow some of [my ‘Wizards’ character] Alex’s wedges. Alex has incredibly cool, funky wedges that we’ll put with cute leg warmers — it’s a very different style. And we’re taking more risks with her wardrobe for the new season. We’ve gone a little ‘Gossip Girl’ with fun socks and knee-highs.â€
On dressing down BFF Demi Lovato: “I have to dress her down, and she tries to dress me up. [Demi's] character [in Princess Protection Program] has never worn sneakers before, and I have her wearing Converse, while she tries to put me in heels. So it’s cool to see the characters switch up.”
On her style transition: “When I was younger, I was really into sneakers, white T-shirts and jeans. But about a year-and-a-half ago, I started to love dressing up and finding really cute accessories.”
On wearing the same shoe size as mom Mandy: “My mom and I now wear the same shoe size, so my closet has doubled. [Together], we probably own more than 100 pairs. We always say how funny it is that we have 100 pairs of shoes and yet we always want to wear the same pair at the same time. But we usually find a happy medium.”

She’s very stylish I always go to dress like selena to copy her or I just browse in my local mall or online to grab her look! Jared you are also helping with the links you get to get her look! I love how she dresses ahhhh!
She is so pretty ! I loved her Teen Vogue photo-shoot in Puerto Rico it looked so beautiful !
@fashion-police: Really this girl is the meaning of fashionable. Really if you have nothing nice to type then don’t type it. It shows your age and it’s not needed. Also please get a life. BTW she looks gorgeous for the shoots I gotta have her clothing!

she doesnt have a photoshoot everyweek, jared is wrong. All these photoshoots that come out are from the SAME DAY. She looks the same in them all. They just get released at different times. She’s gorgeous!
I really admire Selena. I love how she carries herself in interviews; she seems so classy, poised and articulate. But when you watch her Youtube videos, she’s just a fun, laid-back person that you just wanna chill with.
Not only is she a talented, natural actress, but she seems very thankful and appreciative of her fans and the awesome career that she has. I think it’s great how she’s slowly stepping away from Disney by working outside of that company. She already did a Warner Bros. movie, now she’s doing a 20th Century Fox. She even formed her own production company, July Moon Productions. She could produce and star in her own films, kinda like lining up movie projects after she’s done with Disney Channel just to make sure she’s getting more work. She’s very smart and serious when it comes to her future, I just love how she has these ambitions and determination to have a happy, healthy and successful future in her life.
This girl is going places, she has THREE movies coming up, a debut album and her show is turning into a franchise! She has a great future ahead of her.
