OlderShawn Johnson Wins Dancing!!!
Dancing with the Stars champions Shawn Johnson and her professional partner Mark Ballas show off their dancing skills on Good Morning America in NYC on Wednesday morning (May 20).
Shawn, 17, is the youngest ever contestant and champion on the show since it started in 2005.
She shared about Mark with E Online after their win, saying, “He’s made me such a better person and brought my personality out and [it] really changed my life and I’ve loved every second of it.”
Mark revealed he was surprised about their win, saying, “I wanted to laugh and cry, all these emotions at once. I’m so proud of Shawn.”

Mark Ballas is my favorite pro dancer and always brought the very best out of his Olympic female partners! I remember how he changed former Olympic gold medalist ice skater Kristy Yamaguchi into a dance champion. And now, an Olympic gold gymnast who is the youngest and the baby of the DWTS Season 8 and brought her to the highest level of being a champion dancer. I loved her Freestyle which helped her and Mark clinched the disco trophy!

Shawn did a good job on the show. I thought Gilles, Melissa, and Lil Kim all were better than some of the past champs.

There is no competition with teen-agers and cellphones. Clearly Giles and Cheryl were the better dancers, but consider the backlash had they beat the poor little teeny boper. Just glad professional dancer Melissa was third.
I have been a fan of Shawn’s since the Olympic trials. She is a gem and I am glad she won. Congrats little one and keep up the good work, you are a darling and i wish you the best in everything you do.
