Shawn Johnson - Young Hollywood Awards 2009

Shawn Johnson shows off her golden statuette backstage at Hollywood Life’s 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage on Sunday (June 7) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 17-year-old Olympic gymnast was honored with the Young Hollywood Athlete Award. Shawn tweeted, “Finally finished the carpet!! So much fun now sitting in the theatre with Steve-O, my mama, and the DWTS crew. Had a great night and actually won an award for best Young Hollywood athlete!!! Omg so exciting and got to share it with amazing friends :)”

Shawn also stopped by A Time For Heroes Celebrity Carnival earlier in the afternoon. She shared, “Face painting time at the pediatric carnival!! Can’t wait to play around and have fun with the kids!!”
