OlderTaylor Swift: Excited for VMA Performance!
Taylor Swift has just been confirmed as the first performer for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards!
According to People, the teen sensation will perform live for the Sept. 13 awards show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The 19-year-old Fearless star commented, “I’m so excited that MTV and the VMAs have invited me to perform, because I think this year’s show will be unlike anything they’ve ever done!”
“I love incorporating theatrics into my performances,” Swift added, “and the VMAs have always allowed artists to run with that. MTV has been so good to me, and I could not be more excited about this year’s VMAs.”

Taylor is 19 so that still counts as a teen & plenty others on this site are def. not teens but they appeal to the teen audience – such as Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Effron, Ashley Tisdale to name a few.
Taylor is awesome – I want to see the VMA because of her – I really could care less if the JB are on it or not – this post is NOT about them it is about Taylor Swift – looove her – she is the best!!!!!

Can’t wait to see her perform! Her performances are always amazing. Costume changes, lots of different fun. Super excited x10. I’ll def be watching the VMA’s to see her performance! It should be absolutely fabulous. Can’t wait to see her outfit(s), too, including her red carpet look. Her outfits are always stunning, as well.

@love: Seriously, agreeing with Cam, Taylor’s 19. 19 is still considered a teen. If you don’t want her to be covered, then obviously you don’t want Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Kevin & Joe Jonas, and many others on JJJr either. If you dislike Taylor (which it seems), it’s kinda obvious. And if you’re a JoBro fan, two thirds of the band aren’t considered “teens” either. (Joe is, but by your description, he wouldn’t be.)
