Emma Watson: Be-Witching Roots
Emma Watson is a witch!
Not really, but the 19-year-old British beauty is a distant relative of Joan Playle of Essex County, England, who was convicted of witchcraft in 1592 and excommunicated from the Church of England, according to genealogist Anastasia Tyler of Ancestry.com.
Tyler tells People mag, “It’s not every day we’re able to trace the branches of a family tree back to 16th-century witch trials. Combine that with a celebrity connection to Emma Watson and the fact that she plays a witch in Harry Potter: You couldn’t script it any better.”

Creepyyyy;;; gettinggg the chills nowww
Besides her and Tom Felton having to swap hair colors for their Harry Potter roles, this is yet another thng they share. Tom is related to a John Proctor, a victim of the Salem Witch Trials and Lt. Nathaniel Felton, a defense attorney during the same time period.

Awesome…good to know that it runs somewhere in the family…whether they believe in witches or witchcraft.
Lmao. Weird. Someone clearly had too much time on their hands to look this up. But that’s really ironic…if it’s even true. Watson isn’t exactly a unique last name, so who’s to say that’s really Emma’s ancestor?
SHE IS SUCH A BEAUTY .. . . ..
Everything acceptable for her . ! ! !
LIVE LONG AND HAPPY EM!!
well actually shes a muggle born witch so to have a witch ancestor would be contradictory in the story. but cool anyway
