Adrienne Bailon is a vision in white as she speaks on stage during the BMI Urban Awards held at the Lincoln Center in NYC on Thursday evening (September 10).
The 25-year-old musician rubbed shoulders with industry icons including Sammie, Bobby Valentino, Sean Garrett, President and CEO of BMI Del Bryant, and Mario, among others.
The big event of the night was the presentation of the BMI Icon Award to George Clinton as a songwriter who has had a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers. The salute included performances of some of Clinton‘s best, including “One Nation Under a Groove,” “Atomic Dog,” “Flashlight,” and a medley of “(Not Just) Knee Deep,” “Tear the Roof Off the Sucker (Give Up the Funk)” and “Up the Down Store” — all performed by an array of musicians.
