OlderBeyonce Lets Taylor Swift Have Her Moment
Best Video of the Year winner Beyonce hands the microphone off to country cutie Taylor Swift during the 2009 MTV VMAs on Sunday night (September 13) in NYC.
The 28-year-old singer said, “Thank you. I remember being 17-years-old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I’d like Taylor to come out and have her moment.”
Taylor finally got her time in the spotlight, after Kayne West rudely stole it, saying, “I’d like to thank all the fans on Twitter and MySpace and everyone who came out to my shows this summer. Thank you so much!”
Thank you Beyonce!

I felt so bad for Taylor when kayne pulled that sh*t on stage stealing her moment! I’m so so so glad he was escorted out after and that eeryone kept booing him the whole show. He has no moral decency or respect. Taylor deserved that award and did not deserve being humiliated like that and the poor girl left the stage in tears! Only to perform 9 minutes later! Thank you beyonce for showing some class and giving Taylor her chance and moment! So much respect towards beyonce now!

i think kayne west has changed since his mother die and i felt bad for him. i cannot image how lose a mother.
It’s one thing for him to throw a hissy fit when he doesn’t win but to completely freak out because someone else didn’t win is just uncalled for. In my opinion Beyonce’s video was kind of weird and unoriginal (i believe she used a dance from another music video) Kanye west must learn that the world does not revolve around him and what he wants. If anything he needs to learn that life isn’t fair.
This is why I love Beyonce. I mean, she’s a truly classy lady. Always my role model.

@lily: I hate it when people make excusses for celebrities :( Kanye’s so called apology was aas insulting as his actions on stage. I lost my mother 3 years ago and that doesn’t give me the right to be an a hole. It doesn’t give him the right either
Also I’ve never been a fan of Taylor or Beyounce’s music. Its not the type music I like but the look on Taylor’s face was heart breaking. and Beyounce is a true class act.
