Well, on Phineas & Ferb anyhow. The pair are lending their voices to two new characters on the popular animated series season premiere, airing @ 8PM ET/PT on Monday, September 21 on Disney XD.
JustJaredJr.com caught up with the duo recently and asked them all about the season premiere. Check it:
JJJ: What is the episode all about?
Moises Arias: I play the character Fred, who is Candace’s future son. The episode is about Phineas and Ferb going to the future and seeing what it’s all about. Future Candace wants to finally let their mom see what they’re doing and she tries to rat them out.
Jennifer Stone: I play Amanda, who is Candace’s future daughter. Phineas and Ferb go into the future to see this tool that hasn’t been invented yet. It’s this whole big ordeal about going into the future. Their sister Candace is all grown up with two children: Fred, who’s voiced by Moises and Amanda.
Amanda is pretty much a carbon copy of Candace, they’re almost the same. I watched Ashley Tisdale and tried to do my best impression of her as humanly possible. Amanda is the epitome of [Candace]; the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
JJJ: How long did the recording process take for you?
MA: I’ve done other voiceover work before. I have Astro Boy which is coming out later this year and some other things but it was just me in the studio and took about an hour to do it all.

JJJ: How much research did you put into your character?
JS: The way I approach voice over work is essentially the same but the character is different. This time, I had an element where I was relating how I do my voice to another person. I did a lot of research on Ashley and tried to really listen to her voice and how she does Candace. It’s kind of a shrill, energetic, angry demeanor that she portrays. I tried to mimick that as much as I could. Ashley is a great Candace. I hope I just get a third of what she does.
JJJ: What’s the best thing about bringing a character to life on P&F?
MA: I’m a big fan of the show so to be able to be on it was really cool. Voice over work is actually more challenging than acting.
JJJ: Who is your favorite character on Phineas & Ferb?
MA: Phineas. He talks a lot more than Ferb (laughs) and pretty much comes up with the ideas.
JS: I don’t know! That’s really hard to pick. Vincent Martella (Phineas) is a friend of mine and I love his character. He amazes me with what he can do with his voice. It just blows my mind how he changes his voice so different from his speaking voice. I really love his character on the show.
JJJ: If you could come up with an invention for Phineas and Ferb, what would it be?
MA: They’ve done like everything! I think roller coasters would’ve been my thing, but they’ve already done that. A skatepark? No, they’ve done that. An island. To create a fun park there with rides and cars and stuff like that.
JS: I think the whole time machine thing is really cool. I’m a big fan of old Hollywood and 1930s and 1940s, so I would so go with the time machine ordeal and go back to those times that I’m so interested and fascinated by.
In “Time Machine 2 Quantum Boogaloo, Part I and II,” Phineas and Ferb travel to the future to find a tool that hasn’t been invented yet, and run into future Candace. Seeing an opportunity to finally bust her brothers, she follows them back through time to catch them building their roller coaster and exposes their antics to her mom. But in the process, she accidentally foils Agent P’s defeat of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, starting a chain reaction that turns the future into a dystopian society.
