Ryan Sheckler Beats The Odds

Ryan Sheckler keeps it cool as he steps out at the Children’s Defense Fund 19th Annual Los Angeles Beat the Odds Awards Dinner held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills on Thursday night (December 3).

The Beat The Odds Awards dinner honored five incredible Los Angeles area high school students — Erick, Jonathan, Tracey, Tyree, and Maria for their personal hard work, academic excellence, community service, and perseverance despite the tremendous obstacles they face in their daily lives.

Ryan just completed work on Tooth Fairy with Dwayne Johnson and Julie Andrews. The flick is about a bad deed on the part of a tough minor-league hockey player results in an unusual sentence: He must serve one week as a real-life tooth fairy.

Tooth Fairy hits theaters on January 22.
