The upcoming biopic centers on the ’70s female rock group The Runaways and focuses on the duo of guitarist/vocalist Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and lead vocalist/keyboardist Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning) as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record label woes under an abusive manager during their teen years.

The Runaways will make it’s debut at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in late January 2010.

There is no one else in my opinion who could play Joan Jett than Kristen, they look like they could be related, like Joan could be her mom or aunt or something.

But Kristen look really really good here. It’s like Charlize Theron because sometimes I see her as totally stiff and stuff but then in Monster she was like WOAHH, really really unexpected you know?
