Jennette McCurdy: 2009 Was an Insane Year!

Jennette McCurdy is popping one last time before the new year starts and wants to update all her fans on what’s been happening in her life.

The 17-year-old actress writes on her official site, “I hope your Christmas was wonderful! Mine was just great! My brother and sister-in-law came down to visit. They live out of state now, so I haven’t seen them in a few months and I’ve missed them terribly. Having them ‘home for the holidays’ was a real treat for the rest of the family.”

“Having a few days off to just be with my family was a great close to 2009. It’s been an insanely hectic year with tons of new and exciting adventures, but being with my family really made me realize how much I had missed spending time with them! Now that I’ve had a few days off, I am ready to jump right into 2010. And by jump, I mean dive full-force into a whirlwind…

“I’m heading back to Nashville this weekend, and so it begins… the recording of my debut album. Can I take a moment out to say: ‘AH!’ Okay, moment’s over. The ‘pre-production’ (if you will) has been such an intense process – I’ve learned a lot! I wrote many, many, MANY songs and heard hundreds more. I went to numerous meetings, sang tons of demos, and listened like I’ve never listened before! Now that the actual recording time is here, I am so excited, anxious, curious, eager, and nervous! I will be sure to keep you guys updated with the whole recording process.

“Another exciting way to be kicking off 2010 is ‘Just Jennette’ weekend! I can’t believe I have my very own weekend. I never expected that. Nickelodeon was very kind to do that! ‘Just Jennette’ weekend is Saturday and Sunday, January 9th and 10th! I hope you’ll tune in and watch a brand new episode of iCarly on Jan. 9th at 8:00pm (fun tidbit: it’s actually my favorite episode ever! I hope you love it too.) and a brand new episode of True Jackson VP on immediately following iCarly (it was so much fun to shoot and see all my friends in the TJVP crew again!). Then, on Sunday evening, Nickelodeon is airing both of my episodes of Malcolm in the Middle. I think you’ll get a kick out of those – I was 10 years old when I shot the first episode I was in, playing “Daisy” (who Dewey would be if he was a girl) and 12 years old when I shot the second episode, playing “Penelope” (a nerd in Dewey’s special ed class). That’s the lineup! I hope you’ll watch and let me know what you think!

That’s it for now. I wish you all health and happiness in 2010. Let’s make it a good year, shall we? Sincerely, Jennette

i love her so much :) she’s down to earth, talented, gorgeous and humble. plus, she isn’t swept up in the fame. she’s still hilarious and sweet as always. go jennette!

  • Tooty

@ellen: Seriously? If she stopped self promoting no one would remember she exists.

    yay! go jennette!

@Tooty: So what she self promotes so does Miranda Cosgrove everyone promotes themselves and she didn’t post this on just jared jr. She posted this on her websites for her fans. She doesn’t post things all over the place just on her own website, youtube, twitter and what not places for her fans to read it not for haters like you others like or post the information for those who are interested.

I think she is a great actress who deserves the best in life. She is the nicest girl and sooo respectful. The best thing about her though is that she hasn’t let the fame get to her. Just like some other peopel said, she is very down to earth.
I wish her the best in her career!!! :)

For those who don’t know, both reruns of Malcolm in the Middle are good, but Jenette is much funnier in “Buseys Take a Hostage” when she played Penelope.

There were people who thought she looked weird in that episode. Not that weird, but still funnier there nevertheless. I’m looking forward to this whole Nick weekend, and so should you.
