To Save A Life Premieres January 22!

What do you want your life to be about — is the question the new flick To Save A Life tries to answer.

To Save A Life summary: Ever since Jake Taylor (Randy Wayne) was a kid, he was the type of guy you couldn’t help but like. For Jake, life is good. He has a ton of friends, a basketball scholarship, a hot girlfriend and a really bright future. Not much to get down about, right?

Enter Roger Dawson (Robert Bailey Jr.). He was Jake’s childhood best friend before Jake’s growing popularity pushed him out. Tired of not fitting in and having a place to belong, Roger walks onto campus and, with a gun in his pocket and pain in his heart, makes a tragic move.

Jake is devastated by what Roger has done, and something in him changes. In seeking answers in his own life, one question plagues him the most: Could I have saved him? He finds himself deeply compelled to reach out to kids on the fringe — kids who aren’t viewed as cool enough. But this decision among other things, threatens Jake’s world. He may lose his friends, his scholarship and even his reputation by asking “What do I want my life to be about?”

The drama also stars Deja Kreutzberg, Kim Hidalgo and Bubba Lewis (Zac Efron‘s best friend).

Buddyyyy! Bubba will make it to the point where people know who he is, and wont have to say “You know, zac efrons best friend.” He’s a talented guy and rightfully known for his own talents. Can’t wait for everyone to see that.

Can’t wait to see this movie, it’s seriously really good stuff.

I saw this opening night; it was FANTASTIC! And thanks JUST JILL for agreeing with me. I believe after people see Bubba’s performance in this movie he will be getting a lot more movie deals. Danny Reivers is the pastors son; and doesn’t like that label and wants to stand away from it. So he smoked pot, gets people into trouble and wants attention for being different. But in the end when he knows he lost everything, Jake was there for him too. It made everyone in the theatre cry; including myself! He portrayed Danny so well and it was even better knowing Bubba could’ve easily played a boy in that movie that wanted to show you how great God is because that is what he’s like off-screen. So to portay someone completly opposite of themselves? Showcases his talent a lot!!! Bubba is not ‘zac efrons best friend’ he is Bubba Lewis the actor/musician. A friend to many :)

The movie gave an amazing message to everyone; and I’ve never experienced walking out of a theatre and having everyone discuss the message they got, or how great the movie was. It’s usually ‘where we going for dinner” Two church groups were in attendance and the movie really makes you re-evaluate how you live your life.

Someone struggling with faith, someone who feels alone, someone who has trouble at home, or experiencing pressures…There is something for everyone in this movie.

I really recommend everyone go see it when they can, you have nothing to lose. :)
