Nina Dobrev is pretty in pink as she models off this spring’s hottest trends in the February 2010 issue of Self Magazine.
The 21-year-old starlet opened up to the mag about her own fashion sense, the glorious 1800s and how she and her Vampire Diaries character Elena are really alike. Check it:
On being a leather lover: “The creators [of Vampire Diaries] adapted my personal style for Elena. We both wear KRMA leather jackets all the time.”
On making her own jewelry: “I was in a diner when my fork bent out of shape. So, I wore it as a bracelet! Now I look for antique silverware to make into jewelry.”
On taking inspiration from the 19th Century: “I also love fashion from the 1800s. The hoop skirts, the silk and velvet…they were breathtaking. Literally! I’ve learned that when I’m wearing a corset, breathing is a luxury.”

the thing i like about leather jacket is that they give you the impression that you are a bad ass guy ..

I love the 19th century as well. As she said, the hoop skirts, the outfits and all of the styles. I also love KRMA clothes and jackets. They are awesome. I love to make my own accesories and but second-hand stuff to make into my own style.
