Max Ehrich rolls his eyes as he’s given a lecture in this new still from his upcoming movie, The Pregnancy Pact.
The 18-year-old actor plays Jesse Moretti in the Lifetime movie which is inspired by the true story of teenagers at Gloucester (Mass.) High School who agreed to get pregnant at the same time.
JJJ had the chance to chat with Max about his role in the movie. Max shared with us about how the real fathers felt, “I not only felt sorry for the girls and their skewed vision of what getting pregnant entails, but for the fathers who lacked knowledge of basic sexual education. It gets really tricky when religion is thrown into this, being that this movie takes place in a very conservative town where abstinence is the only thing that they are taught. The boys were not aware of the chances of getting their girlfriends pregnant without using protection. I feel so sorry that the manipulation caused by the girls ultimately caused the boys to be indebted to their child for the rest of their lives.”
Max continued, “In [my character] Jesse Moretti’s case, his whole future is on the line. He was planning to go on a baseball scholarship to a University and become a professional baseball player. How can he spend all that money on college AND support a child AND raise a child? Jesse’s girlfriend thought they would live happily ever after, when in the end, they would be thrown with so many responsibilities she did not even think about.”
The Pregnancy Pact, also starring Camryn Manheim and Thora Birch, premieres THIS Saturday, January 23 @ 9PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
