The 15-year-old actress recently chatted with the L.A. Times about portraying rocker Cherie Currie in the upcoming The Runaways.
Dakota shared, “I had never experienced being a lead singer before. It was something very new, very interesting. Unlike any feeling I’ve ever had. It’s like a dream to be a rock star!”

You know that and I know that and surely Dakota knows that, but I wonder how long before that silly Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences figures it out. For instance, the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, to be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010, will be hosted by Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Their new movie, <It’s Complicated, might very well be the worst movie I ever saw. Go figure.
