Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Featurette!

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Featurette!

Check out this super-cool featurette from the upcoming Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief!

In the featurette, you’ll meet all the key players — from Percy to Persephone and find out what the flick is really all about.

Percy summary: Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) has just learned that his real father is Poseidon, god of the sea, which means Percy is a demigod – half human, half god. Percy travels to a special enclave called Camp Half Blood, where he trains to harness his newly discovered powers and prevent a devastating war among the gods. There, Percy meets two fellow demigods – the warrior Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario), who is searching for her mother, the goddess Athena; and his friend and protector, Grover (Brandon T. Jackson), who is actually a brave but untested satyr.

The action flick hits theaters FRIDAY, February 12th!

I met the cast in NJ a couple weeks ago and have been counting down the days since! I have never been more obsessed with something than these books. I read the first the year it was published!

Camp “Half Blood?” Hmmm….I wonder if this came out after Harry Potter by chance.
But I still can’t wait to see it.

  • Rachel

HEY! isnt Annabeths hair supposed to be Blonde???

  • jessica

@Celia: PJO was published roughly at the same time as HP I believe, but the books are no where similar.

  • Aylin

@Rachel: In the books she is blonde, but there are always changes when they make movies after books. I don’t think the hair color is a big deal.

“Great special effects but I just could not get past this Hollywood preoccupation with having to make every hero an American, and set every film in America, no matter whether it spoils the movie or not. But in this film they made it one degree more ridiculous by portraying the inheritor of Poseidon’s powers inexplicably as a New York jew (Logan Lerman). Still, at least he got the brunette goyische shiksa in the end. And no doubt, if Chris Columbus ever remakes “The Ten Commandments” he’ll make sure Moses has a broad Welsh accent, just to balance things up a bit. “
