Selena Gomez and Jennifer Stone jump high in the air in this new still from Wizards of Waverly Place.
In the upcoming episode “Positive Alex,” Alex (Gomez) has a crush on George (guest star Austin Butler), the school’s band leader, but is unable to get his attention because he’s turned off by her sour attitude and unenergetic cheers at the school basketball games.
Determined to get George to ask her to the school dance, she casts a spell on herself to become a positive person, but Alex’s new-found optimism turns out to be too much when she starts cheering for the opposing team.
Meanwhile, Justin (David Henrie) has joined the basketball team and is trying to get a big senior moment captured on video.
“Positive Alex” premieres Friday, February 26 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel. 20+ stills inside…

and this ep. looks really stupid, as far as i’m seeing. WOWP started tanking in my opinion when they started season 3. some eps were good but now it’s starting to get obvious.

“What do I think of Alex as a cheerleader?” It is uncharacteristic of her, but Selena did look good in the uniform in the Season 3 premiere, and did appear to have some decent skills, despite playing a character who wasn’t into being a cheerleader. Jennifer looked good as a cheerleader too, and Harper seemed a little more like the cheerleader type, or at least the wanna-be cheerleader type. Neither of the two girls compare to Ashley Leggat in the “Cheerleader Casey” episode of Life with Derek.
Now when will the episode that David Henrie wrote air?
