OlderKristen Stewart is a Rising Star!
Kristen Stewart holds onto her BAFTA Rising Star Award in the press room during the 2010 BAFTA Awards held at The Royal Opera House in London on Sunday night (February 21).
The 19-year-old actress beat out Tahar Rahim, Nicholas Hoult, Carey Mulligan and Jesse Eisenberg
Kristen said in her speech, “Wow. Thank you. I guess first I have to thank all the fans of Twilight for proving again and again to be THE most devoted and attentive fans ever. Considering this is voted, credit is due to them so thank you. To the other actors nominated, I am so blown away by you that I can’t even describe it. To be considered amongst you is just overwhelming, I can’t even describe it. And I’d like to say hi to my family.”

public speaking is the worst lol. i just took that because unfortunately it’s a requirement for my school, and i was shaking nervous every single time i had to give a speech.
hopefully she’ll get the hang of it, though. she seems like a really humble and nice girl.
It’s so ill to watch her, she’s a tomboy all the way, she’s uncomfortable in interviews, she’s not poise when need be and her dress does not do anything for her and she’s not even a good actress. It’s great to get into the business because your daddy is a producer, I guess that’s what it’s all about these days, it’s not what you know it’s who you know.
i’d be nervous too if i had to give a speech on front of an audience. and fyi most people would die than make a speech in public, just fyi.

For her though, since she will be giving speeches in front of fans, and you know for the press. She will have to get better. Like you said, maybe over time she will.

It amazes me how much more mature you fans are on justjaredjr than on justjared. Kudos to you for that. And Kristen is amazing…and I think her speeches will get better. I think she was completely taken off guard last night by winning, and I can’t imagine first having to speak in front of that huge audience, and second having to create a speech on the spot after hearing your name get called for winning an award. Kristen is amazing!

Kristen, I’m a huge fan and I’m 30 not a teen. Didn’t know u until Twilight but after sought you out in all your movies after watching Twilight.
I am so disappointed on your acceptance speech and the attitude you beamed out. Yes, Twilight fans voted for you but it doesn’t mean u don’t deserve to win. It doesn’t mean that you are less talented than the rest of the nominees. IT MEANS WE WANT TO SEE MORE OF U. Please don’t disrespect ur fans by saying that this was another “Twilight crazed voting spree” as I do understand the phenomenon. Your fans are what makes u a star, not your peers/competition. Hopefully you will value us more than what u think other stars think u are worth.
Her speech was intelectually impeccable, very intellilgent, a very beautiful, elegant an intelligent girl, sweet Bella besides.
