Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester sandwich around costar Katie Cassidy in this new shot from the set of their new movie, Monte Carlo.
The trio are currently in Budapest filming the drama which is about centers on a girl (Gomez) who is mistaken for a British heiress, resulting in her, her best friend and her soon-to-be stepsister flying to Monte Carlo for a charity auction.
The story kicks into adventure mode when a million-dollar necklace goes missing and the girls must scramble to find it.

I think it was stupid of the casting directors to cast Selena as someone who is playing someone Katie and Leighton’s age when Katie and Leighton are 24 and can easily pass for older and Selena barely looks like she’s 18. This picture proves that she looks like their little sister tagging along with them in a photograph and it just looks awkward.
A movie with those 3?! Why didn’t I know this?! I can’t wait for it to come out! They’re AWESOME! :)

Actually I read part of the script somewhere and Selena’s character is suppose to be younger than the others. It’s an adaptation from a book or older movie, can’t remember which. In the original the people where in their mid 30′s, they decided to make the people younger to appeal to younger audiences. Selena’s character is suppose to be a freshman in College while the other two are Seniors or something at the college. It was a while ago so I don’t remember exactly

Selena’s character is suppose to be a graduating hs senior (which she is) and Leighton and Katie’s characters are older (college +), so the ages fit. But then you look at Cory – who is closer to 30 than 20.. but totally passes for it. Regardless – Excited for the movie! Great cast! I can’t wait for more pics – Woohoo!!!

@magick_girl786: Selena is playing her age. A High school senior who just graduated. Yes; appereance wise she looks young, but she isn’t. She is playing her age. Katie and Leighton on the other hand are playing college student (Katie a college drop out iirc).
Anyway I’m ridiculously excited for this movie. Three gorgeous classy talented young actress’s together. Can’t get better. :)))))
