OlderWayne Brady: Vanessa Hudgens is the Perfect Mimi
Keeping cool with a bottle of lemonade and short shorts, Vanessa Hudgens heads out of a friends home in Hollywood on Monday afternoon (June 14).
The 21-year-old actress (in Web Eyewear aviators) stopped off for some food before heading back to her place for the remainder of the day.
Wayne Brady, Vanessa‘s new RENT costar, was also at the World of Color premiere last week.
He shared with BroadwayWorld of Vanessa being cast as Mimi, “I was so happy to hear that she got [the role], because I think it’s great for people to see her outside of the world that’s been built around her…as a Disney kid. I say give her a chance to be a woman! And she needs to be to [play Mimi]. I’m so happy for her.”

Way to go Wayne, it’s so heartwarming to see that there are truly honest, sincere and caring people in Hollywood, not all of them are cut throats, he is such a blessing. Vanessa is talented she really just needs to be given a chance and people are starting to notice that from her.

@ Peggy, I’ve read Vanessa is renting a house in Malibue, close to the beach, she told a sells lady, were’s she buys Zac’s and her Jeans, all the time, she and Zac spends alot of time there, i’ve seen pictures of them running on the beach there, and they shop there, alot. Vanessa looks great, she is so tiny. people that have seen her, can’t believe how tiny she is, and want a great body and legs she has. I’m so happy she is doing Rent, I think she is going to do very well in the part of mimi. I wish i could see her in the play, I’m so proud of her, and i believe in her
I love that the cast gets along with one another; it means they will have great chemistry. Hopefully it will show on stage equalling a better show. Better show better reviews.
