OlderJONAS L.A. Heats Up Disney Channel
The numbers are in for the premiere of JONAS L.A.!
Starring the Jonas Brothers, Chelsea Staub and Nicole Anderson, the second season premiere ranked as TV’s No. 1 series for the week in Kids 6-11 (1.3 million/5.1 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.2 million/4.8 rating), and cable’s No. 1 entertainment series in Total Viewers (3.3 million).
Together with Sonny With a Chance, the series beat out a re-run of Nickelodeon’s Victorious and Big Time Rush in in key kids demos by 30% in Kids 6-11 (1.3 million vs. 1.0 million) and by 67% in Tweens 9-14 (1.3 million vs. 762,000).

A little FYI on Disney’s press release line of “cable’s No. 1 entertainment series in Total Viewers†– that depends on what Disney considers to be “entertainment†because the series wasn’t even in the top 25 cable series for the week in total viewers – and that’s what they are claiming it was #1 in.
Also, the new episodes of Sonny With A Chance and JONAS L.A. ran against REPEATS of Victorious and Big Time Rush – it’s not hard to beat repeats.
Just sayin’.
Why do they only look in the teen and below ages when it comes to these shows? I’m 26 and I tuned in. I am happy that the show is doing well, I can’t wait to see what happens with Nick and Macy. :D

@Bryan Alford: Yup, swac & jonas, aired against repeats – it’s not that objectively to compare ratings of new episode vs. repeats (unless its spongebob – that’s a ratings beast)!

Uh. Yeah, my age group isn’t in there. My older sisters (ages 25-28) all enjoy watching JONAS and liked JONAS L.A.. They usually remember to watch it more than I do.
Impressive. I hate that Im not included in the demographic ratings (i’m 16). I really want to see what happens with Nick and Macy.

That’s amazing! the first season’s total viewers were 1.6 million and now 2nd season it’s 3.3 million viewers? ahh. so awesome. They really improved the show this time. It’s way different but so much better.
this doesnt apply to swac becuse im so hoked on the sunny chad thing right now (like who isnt) but as cool as the trailer looks jonas la doesnt look all that great. and most ppl prefer the real music they come out with then the one on the show i know most ppl think big time is a carbon copy but that not true its a live action cartoon and i like that it relaxes me pluas i like the music they have its like an actual genre not pseudo/jonas (no offense to any jonas fans, the day victorious beat wizards was just a fluke becuase icarly best show in the world came on before it i dont know why if feels like a war betweens them. most disny star are alot more faemous then any nick, excluding icarly which is danwarp genius, which is why it get like 9 million view all the time by kids ,tens ,and adults,—- anyway this new jaons seems like an attempt to be serious on a childrens chanel which is like a recovering addict dating crack it just wont work sorry.

The numbers are taken right off of Neilson’s. Great ratings! I watched JONAS LA and I’m over 21. Thought it was a great show. I’m really impressed so far, and looking forward to the next week. It reminds me of Entourage without all the cussing and well…let’s just leave it there.
Loving the new format. Their acting is head and shoulders better than last year, they are more comfortable in front of the camera and it shows. And being out of the “fake” stage sets of Disney really improved the look and feel of the show!

Many people over 16 watched Jonas, about 6 in my family alone. Unfortunately Disney doesn’t care about those numbers. I’m sure if the ratings looked at those numbers they’d find that Jonas wins that category easily over any other Disney or Nick show. I really like this new season and can’t wait to see what happens with Nick and Macy.
Yay I’m glad it did well and I hope it has the most success possible as it continues. And yeah I watched it and I’m 18. And sorry people hating on it, just don’t watch it and just don’t comment things about it. Oh and swac is horrible and cheesy. Don’t compare it to jonas
@Bryan Alford: when it says that it won against victorious and big time rush, it was meant for the entire week, not sunday night. BTR had a new episode with Jordin Sparks friday night, and Jonas still beat out the ratings.
I love Jonas, Big Time Rush, Victorious and SWAC and i think all have pretty good ratings, and they would be better if they included the older demographics, especially for Jonas, Victorious. I’m 18 and i’ve been a fan of JB since 06, and i now alot of people my age watch the show because we are such big fans. It is almost the same with Victorious, i like victoria justice since she was on Zoey and i belive many people watch the show to she the contrasting characters. I understand Nick and Disney are big rivals, but i believe that as long as the people who are watching it are enjoying the shows, and watching them the demographics and precentages shouldn’t matter to much. ( i know that they always will be important, but from a fans point of view, this is what i believe).

It was meant to be… come on, we are talking about the JoBros… they break all the freakin charts! hahaha I cant wait to see this whole Season… by far I can tell you that the first episode was pretty catchy… and by the way, they should consider expanding a little bit the age when it comes to rate charts.. Im 18 so… Im pretty sure a lot of people over 18 watched it too… greetings from Guatemala!!
To tell you the truth I seriously can’t believe that Jonas beat the ratings of Big Time Rush! In my opinion, honestly I don’t think the Jonas Brothers can act that well. They can sing but not act. Big Time Rush on the other hand can sing, dance, and act. Which from what I see the Jo Bros only fit maybe 2/3 of those things. I think Big Time Rush is way better no offense to Jonas Brothers fans ’cause I USE to like them. I’m not trying to be rude or anything I am just stating my opinion in a mannerable way. :)

Well those aren’t the ratings I got! I read in several other sites that SWAC beat JONAS. Last sunday’s episode was ranked 18th on Cable TV top 25 and Jonas wasn’t even ranked! And I saw simlar ratings in other sites. SWAC beat Jonas!
Don’t care about the ratings. The more important is the Jonas Brothers still inspires a lot of people around the globe. I love you Kev, Joe and Nick! Keep up the good work and many more projects to come!! <3
Was this show supposed to be “comedy” like the first season because it wasn’t funny at all. I zoned out a few times because I was expecting comedy and it was rather boring. Their acting has improved but that house they film in echoes and it’s annoying.
They should definetly extend the age group. They would have much more viewers.
