Taylor Swift Raises Up Nashville

Taylor Swift and Michael W. Smith pose for the cameras as they arrive at the “Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert For Flood Recovery” held at the Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday evening (June 22) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The 20-year-old songstress was just one among many performers including: Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert.

Taylor shared with MTV about the concert and what it means to her: “The flood definitely affected all of Nashville. You know, for me, the fact that there were members of my band that lost their homes really affected me, because those are my friends. Those are the people I call up as soon as we get home. The fact that it affected my band, that’s the most directly it affected me.”
