The 26-year-old musician tells Popeater about the song, “This song is the most blatantly hopeful song I’ve ever written. And though it might even border on naive, that’s the only way I’m able to see a situation sometimes: stubbornly optimistic. So what better way to express that visually than with a kid making himself into a superhero instead of waiting around for one?”
