Joe & Nick Jonas: Tour Plans Revealed!

Joe & Nick Jonas: Tour Plans Revealed!

Nick Jonas gives a big thumbs up as he leaves the Queen’s Theatre in London after another performance of Les Miserables on Tuesday night (July 13).

Big brother Joe, wearing Nobody Denim, was spotted out in Los Angeles picking up some munchies from M Cafe this afternoon as well.

JJJ recently caught up with the JoBros and chatted about their Camp Rock 2 themed summer tour. Kevin told us, “We had a meeting the other day about our stage and so what we’re telling people right now is we actually just approved all of, like Joe said, our blueprints (laughs). We came up with an idea and we really felt we hadn’t used video to it’s full potential yet during a live concert.”

He continued, “So we’re really taking that to the next step because we are going to have Jonas Brothers, have Demi, we have other Camp Rock friends as well on the tour. We have a lot of people there and use of production just by people and so for us, we would build, I’m talking 20 feet high video walls. Very, very large scale things. It’s gonna be a lot of fun.”

Can’t wait for the tour…Joe is looking mighty fine these days, and Nick looks more like a teenager these days also…enjoying it before he turns 18

    Nick is so gorgeous 

    It’s cool ;)

What happened to just Jonas Bros music without the Camp Rock crap without Demi Disney without all the fancy lighting, stage etc etc etc. How about just good music guys – good music does not need anything more.

  • Steph

The only problem with the stage and the 20 feet screens is that theirs gonna be so much going on that we wont be able to see them. Keep it simple like last year Jonas!

  • Layla

Pandora: I agree but JB know they’re up against flagging interest and a crap economy. We feel the way we feel but truth is, JB isn’t going to sell out on their reputations alone right now–the nature of being a pop act marketed to tweens (not arguable speculation). This is a Jonas Group management decision that poor tour sales have so far proved to be a poor one.

why don’t they do something simple. People should want to see them for their good music and not the special effects. They are talented men and they should focus on the music. The special effects sometimes ruin the show. When I saw them at The Grove it was amazing. I know they can’t do shows like that, but keep it simple dudes. I <3 Jonas Bros forever

Kevin is the one in-charge of production. They should consider scaling it down because it will cost a lot of money. The tickets are not selling well , it is really bad.

  • yvette

Oh what has joe done to his face. I will hold him down and force shave him myself. I was watching their burnin up tour movie today, wow do I miss that joe. He was perfect then.

  • pandora

Also all the special effects and a huge cast must cost a fortune!!!
With a slow economy fans would really appreciate lower ticket prices.

Nick is usually so stylish but that hoodie looks like something my grandma would wear!!!!!!

  • Lauren

Can u guys stop being so negative, every concert tour for other bands & artist has to have special effects even JB, So get used to it.

Joe looks so good without his glasses!

Great pictures of Nick. With the revamped tour, only the shows that have sold well remain. So I don’t see that as a problem now. I do think their management is definitely to blame for this idea. I think they thought they could help all of their camp rock clients, by having them tag along with the brothers. Instead, they really sacrificed the brothers marketability in the process. Yes everyone is canceling tour dates and tours, but this was preventable. The camp rock group is all overhead since they aren’t a draw for anyone. They needed a good opening act and a setlist that wasn’t camp rock instead. They also could have not toured until they felt they had something Jonas Brothers to promote.

Joseph looks so much like David Villa in these pictures it’s scary…he needs to shave ASAP

what happened to joees ring? T.T

  • Ceecile

I miss the days when a concert was supposed to be about the music and the artist connecting with the audience.. Am I that old?

everyone needs to stop being so darn negative. their production ideas are genius and will only make the show experience that much better. the jobros are three very smart young men, they would never compromise the music for production purposes. they are and have always been about the music!! compared to other artists out there none of their shows have ever been too flashy they have used lights and video screens, with a few other things in between but have always done it in a tasteful way…..they don’t have all these big huge props or stupid costumes like other acts do. honestly i think their canceled tour dates had nothing to do with poor ticket sales (and by the way no one in their camp ever confirmed poor ticket sales being the reason)…..i think they needed more time to pull everything together and weren’t going to be ready for their original July 27th tour start date so they were forced to move dates around and as a result had to cancel some. i mean it’s July 14th today and they just now approved the blue prints for the screens and then they still have to build them.

@temari: Kevin is not the only one that has say in how the concerts look. They all signed off on it from the sounds of it. He’s not to blame.

  • http://www.twitter.com/Nkeeyahdunn nkeeyah

@Ceecile: No, you’re not old. I am 16 and I feel the same way. Special effects are cool, but I like it when it’s all about the music.

How does Nick keep his sneakers so white? I put mine on and they get scuffed up immediately!

I’ve been looking foreward to seeing the Jonas Brothers all summer and then they cancelled the only show I can go to. Good luck winning me back as a fan.
