Selena Gomez: Beverly Cleary Wanted To Be Around To See The Movie

Selena Gomez shares a sweet story about her new flick Ramona and Beezus with The View hosts on Wednesday morning (July 21) in NYC.

The 17-year-old actress shared of author Beverly Clearly‘s involvement in the film, “They [the production team] weren’t actually going to tell us a lot about it. But after five years of convincing her, she wanted to still be around to see the movie. So, it was a big thing when they told the cast that. I was petrified because it’s an honor to be a part of this.”

Selena continued, “I think it’s great that she finally let us do it [make a movie of it]. We really took care of it and tried to make it the best.”
