Rupert Grint & Phelps Twins: From Barmy to Barcelona

Rupert Grint & Phelps Twins: From Barmy to Barcelona

Rupert Grint, and James and Oliver Phelps — who play the famous Harry Potter Weasley boys — will be taking part in the Barmy to Barcelona Wacky Rally this weekend.

Together as the Salty Sea Dogs, the trio are aiming to raise awareness and funds for the charity, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, that saves lives at sea.

Oliver shared, “The idea of a wacky rally seemed like quite good fun, while also being challenging. Having great admiration for the work of RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards, who often face challenging situations, it made sense to choose to support them and their lifesaving work.”

Rupert joked, “We expect to ‘coast’ to Barcelona, ha ha. This is a brilliant way to see some great bits of Europe and even better that we can do it for a great cause. We’ve even got company in the form of a seagull perched on the boot of the car; we’re hoping it won’t need rescuing when the rally starts for real!”

Now you guys are talking! I never thought you were going to post this news story! It’s so good for them to take a long roadtrip for charity. This is why I love Rupert. He’s really shy, but he does tons of charity work, tons of car racing, music festivals, he’s just awesome!

I wish I was in Barcelona to see him and the Phelps twins finish. All I see online are photos of them with fans. They came in 19th place, but I heard they made TONS of money for the charity. Good for you, Rupert!

BTW, I’m liking this, A LOT! I’ve never seen this many news stories about anything Harry Potter on here as I’ve seen this past month. All it’s been was Twilight Twilight Twilight. Thank you, JJ for realizing that most people just hate Twilight and love Harry Potter-keep giving us the news!
