Jerry Trainor is One T.U.F.F. Puppy

Jerry Trainor poses with the famous JJ coaster during the 2010 Comic Con in San Diego eralier this month.

Carly Shay’s big brother sat down with JJJ to dish on his new Nick animated series, T.U.F.F. Puppy. Check out what he told us about the new show:

On the new series: “I have always wanted to do a cartoon, I mean I watched cartoons probably later on in life that I should have. I just love animation and cartoons. This particular one is insane, it’s exactly the type of cartoon I would want to do, it’s quick it’s funny, it’s very Loony Toons. T.U.F.F. Puppy is 2D which I love, I love the 2D style which is very old school and it’s fun to do. It’s such a great job, I go in, joke around with some people and then they animate that.”

On voicing the animated character, Dudley Puppy: “I love this character because he’s a dimwit, and I love playing good hearted, good natured stupid people.”

On his own favorite cartoons: “I would watch everything. I watched He-man, G.I. Joe, Transformers, I never missed them. I would also watch of course Looney Toons. I would even watch Jem, just because it was on and it was animated, I was like ‘I don’t care if it’s for girls,’ I love it.”
