@good-one: I don’t disagree with your suggestion, but question the idealism undergirding it. The notion that 1) women can be independent and liberated (2nd wave feminism) or that 2) gender is merely a matter of social construct (3rd wave “feminism”), are ideals which, in reality, fall apart in “normal” society. Most women and men still hold that sexually liberated females are “that” way. Personally, I think the only way to trump the alpha males and the somatic alpha females is to live apart – to be the chaste independent woman.
