The debut summer season of the series ranked as TV’s No. 1 series over its 10-week run in Female teens and the top-rated scripted series in females 12-34 and teens. During its 10-week run (June 8 – August 10), the series has ranked as Tuesday’s No. 1 TV program each week in Female Teens.

JJJ recently caught up with the four main girls — Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Troian Bellisario — to chat about the love lives of their alter egos.

Ashley dished to JJJ exclusively about Hanna’s own love story between Sean and Lucas. “I think Sean is great, but, I don’t know, it’s so different for Hanna to like Lucas. I would love to see where that goes. I don’t know what they’re [the writers] are going to do with it. It’s just really cool for someone like Hanna to have feelings for someone who isn’t in her, kind of clique.”

Pretty Little Liars is expected to return early 2011.
