Justin Bieber sports a red and white varsity jacket as he films a promo for the 2010 MTV VMAs in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (September 10).

The 16-year-old singer took over a spot downtown to run through his debut VMA performance. Justin ran through his set, which includes a medley of his biggest songs.

Pal Selena Gomez, who will also be presenting at the awards, told MTV that Justin should definitely win Best New Artist.

Selena shared, “I think he deserves it! I think he’s worked really hard. I think he works harder than a lot of people I know, so he deserves it.”
