Selena Gomez & The Scene: Trick Or Treat Concert for UNICEF!

Selena Gomez and The Scene are scaring up a good time for Halloween this year.

The band will be holding a private concert on Tuesday, October 26 at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles for the annual holiday with all proceeds going to the United Nation’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Selena, a long time supporter of UNICEF, shared, “I’m so happy that not only do I get to do a small, intimate show with my band but we get to do it for my favorite organization. I have always wanted to do a small intimate performance and I thought what better way to put on a show than to benefit UNICEF.”

U.S. Fund for UNICEF President and CEO Caryl Stern (pictured with Selena above) said, “As a UNICEF Ambassador Selena has shown that her dedication to children is resolute. I am confident that through her today’s youth will be inspired to become good global citizens.”

Tickets go on sale this coming Monday, October 11th @5PM PT/8PM ET. The event will stream LIVE (in its entirety) on October 26th @5PM PT on Ustream.

“Selena’s concert is one of the most exciting elements of the 60th Anniversary of the
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign,” said

Glad, Selena supports UNICEF. I love it when celebs care for others and support awesome organizations such as UNICEF.

As an African, I hate that she supports an organization which tries to make mothers abort their babies and sterilise them. I support charities actually about the children!

@MARC AUPIAIS:

yeah, okay that’s EXACTLY what she does. Unicef is a great organization, my school has been doing the holloween collection for as long as I can remember. What Unicef does is bring them packets that help clean the water and make it safe to drink. No one forces women into abortions(at lest that I know of).
