Emma also stars as Noelle in It’s Kind of a Funny Story, which is out now. She shared with the Toronto Sun about her character, “I really approached her like a normal girl. She has this dark side, but the great thing about her is it really shows that anyone can be dealing with this kind of problem. She’s in a psychiatric hospital, but she’s concerned about boys, which shows that despite her darker side, she is like every other 16-year-old girl. But everyone in the movie shows that anyone can have these kind of issues.”
