Meet Hailee Steinfeld, 'True Grit's' Girl

Hailee Steinfeld swipes her hair to the side as she attends ELLE‘s 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute at The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills over the weekend.

The up-and-coming actress, who wore Calvin Klein Collection, stars as Mattie Ross int he upcoming True Grit opposite Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges.

Hailee shared with USA Today about her role, “My goal when I was filming was she would never be happy. She’s trying to be as tough as she can be. A father would be the one to help her out of it, but she doesn’t have one. The entire time, she’s testing to see if he (Rooster Cogburn played by Bridges) can be like a father.”

True Grit hits theaters Christmas Day, December 25th.
