Taylor Swift gives Ellen DeGeneres a side hug as she tapes an appearance on the show on Thursday afternoon (October 28) in Los Angeles.
The 20-year-old “Speak Now” singer opened up about the song “Dear John,” which is rumored to be her take on her relationship with John Mayer.
Ellen asked, “Ok great, we know the answer now. It’s about him (John Mayer.) Well, you didn’t dispute it so obviously…”
T added on, “The thing is with my career and I have been fortunate enough to have success. I’ve had a few main goals and priorities. If I was lucky enough to continue to get to do this…Those two goals were to in spite of success always remain the same person and in spite of success remain the same songwriter.
“When I was 12 years-old I started writing songs about my life and just because people are now kind of more interested in the subject material of those songs a little more than when I was 12. I’m still going to continue to write about my life. I guess people are going to continue to speculate about it and I’m going to continue to never tell them who the song is about.”
Taylor will be performing “Mine” and “You Belong With Me” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, November 1st. Bigger pic inside…
