Nina Dobrev keeps it cute on the October/November 2010 cover of Girl’s Life magazine.

The 21-year-old Vampire Diaries actress opened up about her Degrassi days, her famous fork bracelet and some of her more interesting nicknames. Check it:

On her interesting nicknames: “My mom used to call me ‘Ninche’ which is a Bulgarian form of endearment. My friends heard this in elementary school, and started calling me ‘Ninja.’ They were making fun of me! These days, people call me ‘Looch.’ It means little cute one in Italian.”

On keeping close with her Degrassi cast mates: “The cast was awesome. Paula Brancati [ Jane] and Charlotte Arnold [Holly] are still very good friends of mine.”

On how she got started making her jewelry: “I started by accident. I bent a fork out of shape and put it around my wrist. I started making them for friends and kept getting compliments.”
