Older'Sonny With A Chance' Being Reworked without Demi Lovato
While Demi Lovato is off getting well, Disney is reworking her series, Sonny With A Chance.
According to Variety, the writers on Sonny will center their writing efforts on So Random! sketches. So Random! will feature guest stars, comedy sketches, musical performances and digital shorts — a teen SNL!
A Disney Channel spokeswoman shared about the situation, “This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure. Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues.”
This is a temporary situation as the show goes back into production in January.

I kinda really dont like this idea a lot of people watch the show because of demi and sterling and without them together it wont be the same. I’d rather them wait until demi has recovered well before they start filming so they could do so with the main character. I think this just puts more pressure on her to get better as she may feel as though they will be sick of waiting for her. I really think that if they wanted the best of her then they should wait until she’s 100%
most people watch the show for her, so it won’t work.
Hmm.. maybe it’d be cool if they did Mckenzie Falls series for a while or something. :P
lame lame lame. The show is about Sonny and without her it would be pointless. You can’t have Sonny without Demi, so this is going to fail.

It’ll be nice to let the other cast members get a chance in the spotlight, but the So Random sketches are NOT the way to go. Letting the others have the lead will show us if they are able to handle starring in their own series once Sonny With A Chance goes off the air someday.
Why Disney has to do this? . Oh! I know they only worries about Money not Demi. Sorry but this is not a good idea because the show is called ” Sonny with a chance” and who makes “Sonny” ? Demi Of course!!. Definitely this will be Fail!!.

i agree poor demi i feel for her and have to get better
but no one really understands how much money and effort is put on a tv show people already write scripts and they have certain times in the studio and it cost a lot of money to push back a filming date or a production date
poor demi but sometimes the star cant be there i dont think they should do this idea i think they should still make the show but centered on the other characters until demi gets well and back

That sounds horrible. So Random is the worst part of SWAC. The sketches are absolutely awful. Out of all the sketches they’ve shown, only three or four are truly watchable, and all of them need Demi. Plus if you make it all about So Random then there won’t be enough Chad. And we all know that Sterling is a huge part of what makes the show, only second to Demi herself.
what’s the point of calling it “Sonny with a Chance” when Sonny’s not there? In that case, they should just make a short comedy series called “SO RANDOM” until Demi is out of rehab
