Emma Watson: Ten Questions with TIME
Emma Watson sits down with TIME magazine to answer ten plus a few more questions that were submitted from fans all over the world.
The 20-year-old actress opened up about the ’10 Points to Gryffindor’ claim, how she’s grown as an actress and her desire to become a Renaissance woman. Check it:
Is it true that someone yelled “10 points to Gryffindor” after you answered a question correctly in a lecture hall at Brown, where you’re a sophomore? “No. Actually, I’m really glad that he asked. That has never happened to me. Maybe someone said it under their breath, but I’ve never, ever had anyone say that when I’ve been in a class.”
Would you consider a profession outside of acting? “The difficulty for me is that I’m interested in so many different things. I could never really imagine myself doing one thing, and I’m pretty sure that I’ll end up doing four or five different things. I want to be a Renaissance woman. I want to paint, and I want to write, and I want to act, and I want to just do everything.”
How would you describe yourself before HP and after HP? “That’s a huge question because I was ten-years-old. I’ve learned how to be an actress. I was so young that when I started out, the director would literally have to direct me as the camera was moving and rolling. Now, I have my own instincts and I know how a film set runs and works and how a movie is made. That’s huge.”

Great interview! I couldn’t believe how many questions she got: over 1600! I wish they would have chosen some more interesting ones to ask her.
They asked her the same old questions everyone else did.
