OlderSelena Gomez: My Favorite 'Wizards' Memories
With the final season of Wizards of Waverly Place coming to an end, Selena Gomez is reflecting on some of her fondest memories from the hit Disney Channel show.
Here’s what the 18-year-old singer and actress had to share with Latina:
On spending downtime with her cast mates: “We came in to rehearsal one day and we didn’t even rehearse. The whole cast and crew sat in the set living room and talked for two hours. We had coffee, food, we were laughing, and we were all so comfortable that I was in my pajamas!â€
On Wizards being a safe haven: “In this business, I get so paranoid. You go out to dinner and there are people taking pictures of you and you have to be cautious of how you get out of a car … it feels so weird and it’s so unfortunate that you have to live your life that way, but [on the set of Wizards] I looked around and I thought, ‘I really feel safe here.’ That was my favorite moment.â€
On TV not having a show about a Latino family once Wizards ends: “That’s freaky. That’s so sad. OK, we need to get on that! That’s crazy town.â€

as in “she” – you mean the writer who asked Selena for comment that no single show would be centered on a Latino family after Wizards ends.

They are the whitest “Latino” family i’ve ever seen. If there’s gonna be a Latino family based show, how about they choose non-”whitewashed” ethnic actors/actresses. Seriously.
No hate on Selena or the other cast members; I like them.

On that last note, i think i’d take her over Demi Lavoto any day of the week. She’s got more charisma and isn’t prone to alienating the people around her like Demi does. Hopefully this treatment helps to bring that girls ego down a few notches. Its taking up way to much space.
Anyway, as to the shows coming up, it seems like Disney is geered toward more song and dance shows. Which is a shame because lets face it, they can get pretty annoying. Shake it up just started, which is ok for what it is. But now they are bringing back a new show as a version of HSM. They need to stick with the family driven shows. The realistic ones with a disney spin. But i guess that’s just my opininon.
With Wizards, HM, JONAS and my personal favorite SLOD basically ending all in the same season (if SLOD doesn’t get a fourth season, which they should) disney is geared up to replace them. But truthfully, from reading the press releases i don’t think that they have to much to offer the upcoming generation. :)
@YAY ME: Someone’s incredibly jealous and blind. Selena is beautiful and you clearly have no life. She can definitely act and has improved on her singing. You are just pathetic, sad, and a complete fail on life.

Wizards Of Waverly Place is TOTP and I’m feeling real sad that its over.
